Day 2

{Ventura Beach}

On Saturday morning before the wedding we drove north to Ventura and hit the beach at a popular surf spot. Although it was overcast I had a fun time relaxing on the beach while the husband got in a decent surf session.

Day 1

{Santa Monica Pier}

After a nice evening cruise down the Pacific Coast Highway, Tyler and I stumbled across the Santa Monica Pier. We had a fun night strolling the pier and people watching.

the husband and i are finally home from our mini summer vacation.

we had a fabulous time at jenny and dan's wedding in bel air and malibu.

then headed to the million degree heat to hang out with a million of our closest friends for 3 days at the happiest place on earth... although im sure my husband would re-name it a few other things!

after driving home from LA during the wee hours of the morning we are both exhausted and both work tomorrow.

thus this may be all you get of our vacation for awhile. expect a full recap along with more pictures than you'd ever care to see soon.

Tomorrow we are road tripping it to LA!!!!



First we are headed to Bel Air and Malibu for Jenny and Dan's Wedding!



Then it's off to the Magic Kingdom!

{summer weekends}

as i type this post i am still in my pajamas... recovering from a nightmare week at work and a busy weekend!

friday night tyler and i along with some friends headed out to folsom's concert in the park. the band was a chicago cover band and it was actually a lot of fun. sitting on blankets having a mini picnic and enjoying a glass of wine was a great way to spend a friday night. thankfully it wasn't too hot!

last night wasn't as mellow! as it was mary's bachelorette party! we all had a great time celebrating mary's last night out as a single lady! the colors of the night were green and pink to match the wedding colors (jackie even made a "soon to be mrs. g" sash for the bride) and we enjoyed cosmos and appletini's before headed to strikes for some bowling then downtown sac for some dancing and karaoke! of course we had some fun with g-rated bachelorette party goodies...! ok... maybe pg-13 rated.

Not Me Monday!

Start off the week guilt free and admit all of those embarrassing imperfections!

While at work this week I definitely did not hide numerous times from my patients family members who would come out looking for me every 5 minutes. I'm a compassionate and caring nurse and would never even think to do that!

I did not have a mental breakdown hours before having my in laws over for a 4th of July BBQ! I am always organized and ready for guests to come over! Always!

I did not leave a huge pile of dishes in the sink last night secretly hoping my husband would miraculously do them when he woke up in the morning! Not me! (And I was right! My husband did do the dishes!!)

I was not exhausted from the long holiday weekend and text my gym buddy that I wouldn't make the gym this morning, not me! Only to turn my alarm off and fall back asleep for two more hours! I'm definitely not that lazy on my days off!
