Thanksgiving 2010

thankful.

with thanksgiving just around the corner i've been trying to remind myself daily of all the things i have to be thankful for. sometimes it is hard to change my mindset from thinking about all i feel i want and see all the things i have, but the truth is i am truly blessed beyond words. last week reminded me how thankful i am for my hubby tyler. he was away on business for a few days leaving reese and i home and boy were we glad when he came back. it made me realize just how much i love that man. he is my best friend, the best daddy, and makes me laugh on a daily basis. i am so lucky to get to spend my life with him.

Happy Halloween!

To celebrate the day we took a family trip to the pumpkin patch!

Then it was home for a number of costume changes! First up, Brian Wilson the Giants pitcher. Fear the Beard!!
Then, the most adorable perfect pumpkin I've ever seen! I couldn't stop smiling at that little face.

All the trick-or-treaters who made a "cute baby" comment got a second scoop of candy!! Happy Halloween everyone!

Babies, babies, babies!

I met my friends Amber and Teresa almost 6 years ago in nursing school and we have stayed close ever since. It is so fun that we've all had babies this year, Xavier was born in January and Aislinn was born just about 6 weeks after Reese. We like to get together as often as possible to let the babies "play." Whether it be at one of our homes, a Starbucks, or the park its great to get together with these ladies to talk about mommy-hood. Here are some pics of our recent play dates!

Baby Shower!

A couple weeks back we got to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Jackson, the new bundle Mary and her husband Ryan are expecting in December. Mary and I have been friends since kindergarten so it's exciting that we are becoming parents so close together! I'm looking forward to meeting little Jackson and I know he and Reese will be close friends! It was a fun afternoon full of family, friends, and adorable baby stuff!

Gosh I love her!

2 months!

Reese turned 2 months old on Sunday and I can hardly believe it! She has grown and changed so much lately it's incredible. Yesterday she weighed 11 lbs. 6oz. and was 24 inches long! She is starting to get chubby thighs, arms, and cheeks and has officially outgrown all newborn clothes and even some 0-3 month clothes. She talks a lot and says her coos, ohs, and ahs, whenever she sees a ceiling fan (her favorite object) or if someone is talking to her. We've got a little ham on our hands as she started smiling a few weeks back and loves to smile at mommy, daddy, grandma(s), or anyone that smiles at her! Tyler even got her to giggle last Friday night for the first time! So sweet. Oh, and her hair is still out of control and the first thing strangers comment on when we are out and about! We LOVE you Reese!!

5 weeks old...

I can't believe my little munchkin is 5 weeks old today! In some ways it seems like she has always been a part of our family, and in others it seems she just got here a few days ago! One thing is for sure though, this little girl is growing by the day! Everyday she seems to look and act older... I'm feeling like I'm already behind in cataloging our memories and milestones! It is hard to get a free moment these days, but I will at least try and update more than once a month! Here are some pictures of the last month to wet the appetite! Isn't she just darling?
